Kandy 3 NIGHTS:
Hikkaduwa 3 NIGHTS:
Unawatuna 7 NIGHTS: 12
Colombo again 2 NIGHTS:

All accommendations were private rooms with A/C.
Breakfast was included in all except the first in Colombo.

FOOD:
~ 13 000 LKR // ~ 700 SEK // ~ 85 USD
We've eaten approximately one hot meal a day and filled up on the often included breakfast and bananas and youghurt in the afternoon. Sometimes we shared a plate as the portion sizes were very big. The heat also took a lot of the hunger away.

And of course, so did the coffee.
When I budgeted the expenses for Sri Lanka, I did realize that only coffee took up 3000 LKR of the budget...

The big water bottles (5 liters) was a grand part of the budget as you shouldn't drink the tap water.

Overallt, food is cheap in Sri Lanka and you can get a meal, like the national courses rice and curry, dhall, kotthu, fried rice, for under 400-500 LKR and they are usually very big, saturating portions.

TRANSPORTS:
~ 5000 LKR // ~ 300 SEK // ~ 35 USD
The major part of this was the 3000 LKR taxi from airport to BnB in the central Colombo.
Usually we've walked or taken the 20 LKR - bus.
We've gone with tuktuk at times but not every day.

ACTIVITIES:

SEATURTLE HATCHERY HIKKADUWA
500 LKR // ~ 27 SEK // ~ 3 USD

SIGIRIYA LION'S ROCK
Entrence was 4650 LKR // 245 SEK // 30 USD
Taxi there was 7000 LKR split in 3 people.

5 NIGHTS
:SINGAPORE:

VISA:
NONE NEEDED

ACCOMMONDATION:
1429 SEK // 178 USD PER PERSON
We lived near Lavender Station, which was just one stop from City Hall.
We rented a place via AirBnB which made it possible to keep the costs for food low.

FOOD:
~ 160 SGD // ~ 1000 SEK // ~ 122 USD

WHEREOF

"REAL" FOOD:
~ 40 SGD // ~ 250 SEK // ~ 31 USD
Water, dinners, lunch, breakfast...
We managed to keep this cost really low by
1) having a fridge at home = storing up on stuff from the supermarket = very very low cost for breakfast and dinner
2) Because of humidity, we weren't that hungry in the daytime and took to Starbucks for Fika instead of lunch, which may explain the rise in expences in next part....

FIKA, SNACKS & ALCOHOL:
~ 120 SGD // ~ 750 SEK // ~ 92 USD
Swedes love their fika. And their coffee. And in lack of strong, Swedish coffee, you go for second best: Extra-shot-iced-soy-latte @ Starbucks. And Berry Love donuts at Krispy Kreme. A loooot of them.

TRANSPORTS:
~ 25 SGD // ~ 155 SEK // ~ 19 USD
We usually went by MRT or bus.
Some days we walked some stations becuase of the exploring-opportunity of the city.

AVERAGE COST / DAY
~ 320 SEK // ~ 38 USD

Note:
It is possible, easy even,
to use less than this in Thailand.

Third time here,
I know what I want to gain from
my time in this beautiful country.

That often includes lux-ing it up
at times
and not caring about
every little baht leaving my wallet.

That being said,
I know people who had made it
on 15 dollar a day in Thailand.
I know nothing, however,
about the quality of these people's trip.

You do you and you'll probably have a great time whichever way you choose.

Julia is leaving me in Seoul to go home to Sweden again, and this is where my itenirary gets blurry. A loose idea is to go to Vietnam and maybe meet up with Claudia there.

Food in Vietnam are God-made so probably, I'll have to take a detour here before starting to return home.
